Avnash Banwait

M.Eng.(McMaster), P.Eng.( BC, Ontario), PE(Washington,USA)

Avnash Banwait is the principal founder of the company. He has a diverse professional experience of more than 37 years. He graduated with honours in Civil Engineering (1977) and completed his M.Sc in Civil Engineering while working from Punjab University (1980). He completed his M.Eng. from Mcmaster University, Ontario (1988). He has worked for both the government and private sector. He can easily the guide the projects from the conceptual stage to completion. Apart from hands on design experience of engineering design he has very good experience with team building. Under his guidance, Mainland Engineering has grown to become well recognized structural and civil engineering company in the Lower Mainland area.

Wing Ki (Angel) Leung

B.A.Sc. (UBC) P.Eng. (BC,AB)

Angel Leung is a structural engineer with over 10 years of structural design experience, including design in reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood frame and masonry. She has extensive experience in multi-family, residential, commercial and institutional projects. She is an enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic and advanced problem solving skills. She manages projects professionally and develops good relationship with various consultants and contractors. She holds a bachelor degree in Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of British Columbia. She is licensed as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Alberta.

Rajeev Mangla

M.Eng, P.Eng (BC, AB), CPESC

Rajeev Mangla has over 18 years of vast experience in construction, engineering, and planning. The expertise he has acquired through the numerous projects has managed give him the required tools to play a front-line role in complex assignments. He combines his knowledge and his overall vision of the company’s needs with keen entrepreneurial spirit. He has in-depth knowledge of Municipal By Laws & Canadian standards that is used to design the various projects. He has worked on the various projects of Land Development & Erosion Sediment Control in City of Surrey, Corporation of Delta, City of Richmond, City of Burnaby, City of Coquitlam, Township of Langley and other municipal agencies. He manages the projects during planning, design and the construction stage. In addition, he coordinates with the clients, architects, surveyors, arborists, contractors, design guidelines consultants, and other consulting engineers. Furthermore. he acts as a team leader. He is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and is registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGBC & APEGA.

Vidya Prakash

M.Tech., CEng (UK), P.Eng. (BC & ON), PMP

Vidya has over 21 years of project experience that has ranged from field site inspection, detailed design, and lead contract administration for large highway projects. In addition to an extensive background with roads, bridges and transportation projects, he has also been involved with drainage, municipal utilities (water and wastewater), and land development projects. Varied experience includes: intersection/roundabout design, storm & sanitary sewer design, contract administration for construction and maintenance of roads along with drainage and grade separated structures; operations/project management; quality assurance; data collection/analysis; inspection, investigation and rehabilitation; detailed design based on TAC/MOT; permitting and approvals; and leading a contract administration team utilizing extensive project management tools and controls. He is a Project Management Professional, a licensed Chartered Engineer from UK and Professional Engineer from India and Canada in the province of British Columbia and Ontario.
